CLAT-BBA-IPM Solving Article DAY 20

Hello students, try solving these questions. The questions might seem easy but accuracy is the differentiaor in such types of questions.

  1. The next number in the sequence 19, 29, 37, 43, ….
    1. 45
    2. 47
    3. 50
    4. 53

  1. The Least Common Multiple (L.C.M.) of 0.12, 9.60, and 0.60 is:
    1. 60
    2. 12
    3. 60
    4. None of these

  1. There are 30 boys and 40 girls in a class. If the average age of boys is 10 yr and average of girls is 8 yr, then the average of the whole class is:
    1. 75 yr
    2. 86 yr
    3. 21 yr
    4. 36 yr

Solution:

  1. We have numbers in descending order,

29 – 19 = 10

37 – 29 = 8

43 – 37 = 6

N – 43 = 4

N = 47

Level: Easy

  1. LCM of 12/100, 960/100 and 60/100 is (LCM of 12, 960 and 60)/(HCF of 100, 100 and 100)

Therefore, LCM of 12/100, 960/100 = 960/100 = 9.60

Level: Medium

  1. Required average = (30 * 10 + 40 * 8)/(30 + 40) = 8.86 yr

Level: Easy
