CLAT-BBA-IPM Solving Article DAY 22

Hello students, try solving these questions. The questions might seem easy but accuracy is the key in such types of questions.

  1. A person spends 1/3 part of his income on food, 1/4 part on house rent and remaining Rs. 630 on other items. The house rent is:
    1. 504
    2. 1512
    3. 378
    4. None of these

  1. A person covers a certain distance by car at a speed of 30 km/h and comes back at a speed of 40 km/h. The average speed during the travel is:
    1. 34.3 km/h
    2. 35 km/h
    3. 37.5 km/h
    4. 32.8 km/h

  1. If 80% of A = 20% of B and B = 5x% of A, then the value of x is:
    1. 75
    2. 80
    3. 90
    4. 85

Solution:

  1. Let the income be ‘n’

n – (n/3) – (n/4) = 630

5*n/12 = 630

n = 1512

Required answer = n/4 = 1512/4 = 378

Level: Medium

  1. Required answer = (2*30*40)/ (30+40) = 34.3 km/h

Level: Medium

  1. 80% of A = 20% of B

Therefore, B = 4*A

5*x/100 = 4

x = 80

Level: Easy
